For 2023, our downfire boxes among some other minor changes, will come with a cover to hide the inverter module under the rear seat. The cover allows you to secure the module to the end of the box. For a stealth install, remove the sill trim and feed the inverter harness under the carpet. Make an incision near the end of the box. Feed the harness thru and re- connect the module and fasten to the end of the box for a seamless install.

If you own a new 2015 Colorado or Canyon pickup, you already know that there isn't much room left over for subs. The space under the rear seat is very restrictive and doesn't allow for much in the way of subs to be installed under it. But we managed to design a box to fit under the seat that will hold a 10" sub and have space left over to mount your amp on. This makes for an excellent install that is both clean and nice-looking. Like our dual box, this box also requires you to remove the plastic shield and support bar under the seat. But don't worry because the box is the perfect height and the front of the seat rests firmly on the box and locks into place like normal. Because of this, the box is actually held in place nicely by the seat and doesn't move a bit. You will love how this box fits and sound in your truck.
Please note that not every shallow sub is going to fit in this box. We will try to list some of the ones that will work. Remember, we are pushing the envelope here and the space is extremely tight. The subs we used are the Rockford R2 and they work very well. We will not take returns on this box if 'your' sub doesn't fit. This is a specialty application, please choose a sub from the list or find one that does fit. 8" subs will be more forgiving, so go that route if you want to play it safe.

A note about Pioneers: Pioneers traditionally have all different cutiout sizes and frame sizes on their shallow subs. In other words their different models are all over the place in this regard. If you plan to use pioneers make sure you select a model with a cutout that will fit our standard hole size of (9-1/8") but also fit's the depth requirement of the box. This is why we really do not recommend pioneers. The others on the list are far better and will fit the hole requirement. Please be aware that if we have to modify our design for a larger hole size, that this will require building the box from scratch and therefore a customization fee will be applied.
