Our 6x9 mounts are a must-have if you plan to replace your rear 6x9 speakers. First and formost, by adding these plates, it will greatly stiffen your rear deck to eliminate much of the rattle you have experienced. Plus the 3/4" thickness gives you that much more clearance in your trunk for cargo and other things. When installing, we recommend applying a bead of sealant to the underside of the plate before fastening to the deck. While you are working with the rear deck area, you can add a layer of sound deadening to your deck and over the plates or just over the deck and under the plates like in our example. Either way, this will greatly enhance your rear sound.
