This mount is made to fasten to the car just like the factory amp does.  The tabs on one side slip ino the mounting straps and the slotted hole on the other end goes over the stud.  Simply slide the mount into place and tighten down the nut.  You can even mount your new amp to the mount first and install the amp and mount as an assembly.  What could be easier than that?   The mount comes covered in a charcoal gray carpet that matches the rest of your factory trunkliner carpet.  Please note that this spot is quite small.  The size of the mounting area is listed above.
