First and formost, by adding these plates, it will greatly stiffen your rear deck to eliminate much of the rattle you have experienced.  Plus the 3\/4\" thickness gives you that much more clearance in your trunk for cargo and other things.  When installing, we recommend applying a bead of sealant to the underside of the plate before fastening to the deck.  While you are working with the rear deck area, you can add a layer of sound deadening to your deck and over the plates or just over the deck and under the plates like in our example. This mount is made to fasten to the car just like the factory amp does.  The tabs on one side slip ino the mounting straps and the slotted hole on the other end goes over the stud.  Simply slide the mount into place and tighten down the nut.  You can even mount your new amp to the mount first and install the amp and mount as an assembly.  What could be easier than that?
