Use this in conjunction with our 5G-X3RCA T-harness for 2010+Camaro. Some amps require this device to eliminate the DC voltage that is present in the Camaro's audio signal in order to operate properly. Other amps do not require this additional step. There is no way to predict in advance which amps which amps are compatible with the Camaros audio signal and which ones are not. Our Kicker amps for instance work great without the need for this device. If you have a Kicker amp or your system is working great, then there is no need to worry and no need for this device. But we've come across a few amps recently (orion and a few others) that do not like the dc voltage and require it to be removed. The NR16 i s perfect because it plugs right into the RCA's on the harness. If you are unsure whether your amp will need this or not, a safe bet is to pick one up and use it. If you want to proceed without the ground loop isolator, please note that if your turn on your system and it works, then you have no worries and no need for this device. But if your amp's protect light comes on or you hear any strange squals in your system, then you will likely need to get one of these for your amp (easy fix). Order both the Camaro harness and NR16 and save on shipping.
